Merhaba!

I'm Aysu.

I am a facilitator based in Ankara, Turkey – a city whose ancient name, Ancyra, means “anchor” in Greek. My roots trace back to Konya and Karaman in Anatolia, connecting me deeply to the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures.

My favorite definition of facilitation is “making it easier for people to be together”. Thus my work incorporates methods used by diverse communities worldwide, with a focus on repetition and connection, inspired by “meşk”, a Turkish tradition of practicing together to achieve harmony and beauty.

My guiding truth is that beyond our images, emotions, and thoughts, we are all deeply interconnected as living beings.

In recent years, I worked mostly with artists, musicians and choirs, supporting them to be connected to themselves, each other and the nature.

through other eyes

i think one of the most important needs of a community is communication. on the way to listening and understanding each other, it is necessary to travel with communities by stopping at various stops such as honesty, expression and sincerity. working with Aysu in the choir has accelerated this long journey of communication and made it more meaningful for everyone. each chorist has become more aware and conscious in their communication.

I got to know Aysu as a facilitator at ‘The Artist’s Magical Way’. We spent 12 weeks together. You know how sometimes we come across people who poke the waters inside us, throw tiny stones at it and make it stir; our experience with Aysu was like that for me. Aysu is a beautiful soul who combines magic and poetry with the field. We created again and again together. We tasted ‘What is the possibility of playing games within certain limits?’ and then we soaked all those states into the emotion sponge inside us. I am so happy to know her!

I love working and co-creating with Aysu. Working with them is first and foremost very light. They are flexible; they are always open to listen to the moment and our dual dynamics, and to move forward in the light of the data coming from there. They are as adaptable as they are creative. They embrace their needs and don’t impose anything. In addition to all, they are a caring and loving friend.

I feel alive and aligned to life when I create with Aysu. I am privileged to have a relationship in this fragile world where I feel loved and accepted for who I am. Aysu brings beauty, creativity, clarity, understanding, broadness, authenticity and deep listening possibilities to the unique souls in the unions she witnesses and offers her presence. I am sure (I am a witness) that the participants of the spaces she opens with her Love for the earth and humanity, will enjoy the longing reunions of the earth and their own souls! In the slow, erotic, mysterious and poetic atmosphere of this reunion, you will be surprised (as I am!) again and again by Aysu’s skill in weaving the spaces and stories.

I find her commitments very valuable; she offers an open horizon for my conversation with myself and everything else. I call her to my life with her lyrics
“one foot in the water
one foot in the earth
I remember Divine Commend
and my free spirit.” and she comes with music, dance, mirroring and inspiration. Here is my facilitator, my companion! When I dare a new story, when the emotions feel like a dark and cruel burden, when I walk out of a door… How beautiful to look at with Aysu!”
